Emma, I'm on a DMP with Payplan and they've advised me that if I have an excess of income or come into some money, to put it to one side. Be aware that it would be unwise under a DMP to pay off 2 of the creditors as the remaining creditors may take a dim view of this as you could appear to be favouring one creditor over another, which could ultimately affect your DMP. My advice would be to put the money away for a rainy day. Don't take my advice as red run it through CCCS first. LennyThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. I think I will maybe just do that. I might use some of it to pay off my years car insurance and that will free up another 60-70 a month top put into my DMP.0

If you pay off your car insurance for the year, don't forget to save up for next year's insurance! Then you won't have to take the monthly payment option. Check the small print for how much extra they're charging you for the privilege of paying monthly.0

Hi Emma,
I just wanted to say I got my self in to a terrible situation as well, being at uni and not being a poor uni student thanks to the world of credit cards.
Seems like your on the road anyway, but I have found being on here, so helpful, it I can make it through the bad days just by reading the debt free roll of honour.0 -
Thanks again for all your support. I am sure things will be easier with you guys here to chat too.
