Tesco Voucher Limit?

I always try to use my vouchers up especially when they are specific ones for me.
I went in the other week done a shop to use them up.
I was using the 25p off/25 extra point etc.
Not the £3 off vouchers.
After 2 or 3 it started ringing for assistance.
The lady said I had reached my voucher limit in that transaction, yet she continued to put them in the coupon slot....
Is there a limit and if so why didn't she just hand the voucher back to me?
Once you have scanned that's it?

I had the same sort of issue over the weekend with the self service.
I was told that each machine was only meant to allow one customer a max of 2 coupons per shop.
(I know this to be waddle in my local store because ive used loads more than 2 each time)
As far as i'm aware, Is it doesn't scan and clear on the screen it should have been handed back to you as that coupon hadn't cleared.
(When i worked for an express store of the above, The self serv was a nightmare at not scanning any moc, vouchers or coupons)Future goals:
Become debt free.
Beat Depression.
Be happy & healthy0
