What brand of hair colour do the blondes here use?
I have been dying my hair for over 30 years using nice n easy, but my hair was so dry and lots was breaking when I washed my hair.
I haven't dyed it for 3 years to grow it out but the problem is a) it is taking far far too long, b) I've realised my natural colour is pretty drab and horrible anyway!
I want to try a different brand, salons are too expensive so it needs to be a home kit I can get from Boots or Superdrug etc.
Any recommendations?

Not directly answering your question, but if you are in London why not try one of the training schools - Vidal Sassoon, Toni and Guy etc? Then you can get a cheap/ free cut and colour with professional results?0

Local collages as well. I used to pay about £15 for a full head of highlights with a wash, cut and blow dry.. Plus a tip0

Have you looked at garnier's new one called olia made with oils?
I used whatever's on offer provided its a good make and then use either VO5 hot oil or, if I am feeling stingy, just olive oil from kitchen. It does wonders.
John Frieda do a nice conditioning masque too which I use on hols.

(Been dying for 17 years) x0

I use N&E #100 every 6-8 weeks and have found the best way to keep my hair in good nick is a cut every 5 weeks to avoid those straw ends that bleach blondes can get. I've been dying for 16 years, and my hair is in v.good condition considering that.0

Not dying it yet, but I will need to before long, I fear.. Pah I thought blondes didn't go grey, grrr :rotfl:0

John Frieda Precision Foam for me, in a 10N Extra Light Natural Blonde. It's the only 'home' hair colour I've ever used, and I couldn't believe how easy it is - or how good the results.0
