Applied for a mortgage...

We've recently applied for a mortgae through a broker to Skipton BS.

We're still praying it's accepted and waiting for news, although signed onto my bank online and noticed a direct debit had been setup for Skipton BS (Not setup by us?)

Is this something they do for all mortgages or is this an indication that it may have been approved???? :T

Sounds promising. I've been accepted for the decision in principle and yesterday sent the application forms away along with pay slips.

How long did it take them to get back to you for the underwriting?

You might hear from the underwriters first for more payslips etc. I was told it's taking 4 to 6 weeks to offer a mortgage at the minute

Latest case, submitted and docs uploaded 24 May. It is taking them 6-7 working days to even look at a case.

Case underwritten and valuer instructed 5 June.

Valuation back and offer issued 13 June.

By the way, the direct debit is set up automatically when the application is submitted.
