London 2012 Olympics Stuff

Hi everyone, my very first post although I've been lurking for years!
I am interested to hear if anyone has seen any Olympic memorabilia for sale in the 'cheap shops' near them - key rings, notepads, knick knacks that sort of thing?
Have already checked Ebay and Amazon and 'googled' but going round in circles!
Thanks.

There's 95 products listed there - pens, pencils, fridge magnets, caps as well as the usual sporty stuff, much of it reduced. How much more do you want/need?? What's it for? If you're a bit more specific, perhaps people will be able to give more precise advice.

Whoa, what did I do wrong? I thought you were supposed to be nice to new people. I did thank Mandragora, and I will do so again - thank you for that information.

I was hoping someone would say 'yes, I've seen that sort of stuff in the £1 shop near me' thats all!

The only point I was making was that you asked for info, said you'd tried Google/Amazon but were going round in circles - so I pointed you to a site that seemed to have the very thing that you were asking for and got a 'That's what I want, but I've already seen it, thanks' in reply. I didn't know that you'd already seen it, and I was only trying to be helpful.

From your original post it is hard to know what else you could want, hence my follow up question. It wasn't intended as a massive swipe or put down - just if you're after something more specific than that, it would be helpful if you could explain it, that's all, because someone may be able to help more with more info. Please don't give it another thought - perhaps someone has seen the sorts of things you're after in a pound shop - myself, I think I'd do one trek round the likely suspects on the high street and shopping centres near us - discount stores, big Mr T, book warehouses, poundland and then head homewith any spoils I'd collected for a big gin. But, if you tell us what you're wanting to do with it (it is an unusual request) maybe someone can give you more specific advice. Are you running a fete? Having a sports day? Kids party? Hen do? Does it have to have sports motifs on it - or is it the Olympic bit that's vital, or is it the union flag that is the important thing? Hope this helps - and I hope you haven't been offended.

Blimey, take it easy. Thought this board was supposed to be a friendly place for new posters?

Should have looked harder - did a search on here and came up with a posting a couple of weeks old which was just what I was looking for! Sad thing is I should looked last week as the shop mentioned is about 2 hours from me BUT I passed by the town last Wednesday:mad:

Home Bargains were selling vintage Olympic bags from £2.99 similar to the one in the link below, not 2012 ones though if that's what you are after. Other styles were available as well.

Also, Official London 2012 Mens Union Jack T-Shirts in navy for £1.04 at M&M, appears to be only extra large left though.

M&M also had other memorabilia on offer as well though may have sold out by now.

    Wristbands from 31p
    Mens shirts from £1.42
    Womens shirts from £1.89
    kids shirt from £1.05
    polo shirt £2.37
    hoodie £6.99
    Hats/caps from 94p
    Pin badge 38p
    mascot gels 31p

£3.99 standard delivery charge if order is under £30. May be some free delivery codes knocking around if you manage to get anything from M&M. Try searching HotUKDeals or the voucher board on here.

    Sorry I can't help otherwise.
