Afternoon!!! Here at last ....... went out to do shop early this morn - came back to mega power cut - hadn't realised and thought, when I opened fridge freezer to put stuff away, that it had given up the ghost :eek: Takes a while for me brain to engage!!!!
Up and running now ..... this shows how stupid I am ..... thought ok me wee lappy is charged up and I can use it ............ doh - no electric so no internet!!!:p Was reduced to doing some dusting :eek:
Just going to catch up now in Inn but may have to do it in stages
Well done P, sounds like you have a fab time
Hi Katie - you are doing well with the gym - wish I had your energy!
Walwin - thank you, but my IT knowledge is so limited ... I have not got a clue how I fixed the lappy - it was pure luck and sending up a prayer or two!! Thankfully it worked else I would have been right stuffed!!!
I'm sorry, I can't look at your link - I guess it's going to be the pits of animal cruelty? I get so upset:(
Wee story on tv news over the weekend - lovely adorable dog - so abused by 'said owners/b........d's' that it had to have both front legs amputatedThink it was RSPCA who rescued it.:T:T
However, wee dog now has a little contraption things with back wheels and is rushing around and enjoying life once more - do you know what I find so amazing, the wee dog is bright eyed and has such a waggy tail, after all it's been through - so trusting, bless it. :A
FF: Ooooooh yes - them scrumping days ..... recall them well
Years ago, got caught with wee pals scrumping at a local pig farm
Giveaway was we were stuck up the trees - and farmer errrm saw us!! Got severe telling offDidn't dare tell me parents!
Better still, me brother 50 odd years ago decided to scale conker tree very high up on way back from school - yep - he fell from great height:eek: Don't know what was worse - his broken arm or our mum and dad's reaction:eek::eek: However, he lives to tell the tale!!!
Wingo: well done spotting our sheils!! :T:T:T How lovely!!
Don't think cats like rain or water? ..... but has anyone seen the advert where the beaut long haired ginger cat takes on dog style life? Can't recall what the advert is for - but how the heck did they film it??
ILC - glad your boy came in - always a worry - my girl won't go out at all - she's quite a timid wee thing and likes to stay in but as i'm retired we have plenty of time together. At night, we both watch out the bedroom window, plenty of bats, few toms around but quite a few foxes too. Toms can stand their own ground but my girl just likes to watch and not partake!!! :A
Sorry if I have missed anyone - will check back as soon as - hugs to all Alf xxxxxMILITARY WIVES CHOIRSHELP for HEROES0 -
I've saw that advert too Alfie! Very clever! I reminds me of Homeward Bound....the incredible journey.
Love that film!
Glad you got your leccy back on, it's so annoying when it happens and you've got a freezer full of stuff!
Yeah son is wise enough to go to school if he was waiting a while for his friend. Especially as it was raining too! If I hadn't of phoned school they would have gone to pics without his friend!
No postie here yet either..if he is comping today.Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -

Oh sorry - just read back about white van? Sends shivers down me spine - so pleased all is ok. :A
Homeward Bound - love it too, another film that gets me sobbing!!
Just been thinking, I must have been an awful wee girl when younger - not that anything has changed
Can recall 50 years + ago, wee pal and I went out to picnic, not so far from home ..... shared one bike - one peddling, one on saddle wheeling down country lane having loadsa fun! Before we knew it, mr plod on police pedal bike overtook us and pulled us over :eek::p
My gawd - the fear, the shame  Another severe telling off
Another incident my parents were never told!!!! However, happy days!!xx :rotfl::rotfl:

I'm normally a reader on this thread and not a poster, but need to vent a little bit.....
I've had one of those dreaded grey bits of card from the postie that says 'they can't deliver as there's a fee to pay':mad::mad:
I'm guessing it's a DVD prize that I won the other day, even if it isn't I'm a bit p'd off that I'm having to pay to find out exactly what it is :mad::mad:
Put it another way, some one is in for a rollocking when I find out who it is from. And I'm going to ask for my money back too. Whoever sent it was short on Postage by 20p, so I'm having to pay £1.20 :mad::mad:
anyho, have a lucky comping week, folks.:T
