What a day I have had. DD called me last night and asked if I would go to EPC clinic this morning to see if all well after the miscarriage. Got there at 7.45 and they open at 8. I had downloaded the assesment form from the internet so she sat and filled it in before the door opened. They gave everyone a clipboard with a form on it and when DD gave them her form they said she had to fill in another as they had numbered the ones in the box. It was the same form though. She was no 4 to be seen and had an examination, swabs and then had to wait for a scan. We eventually saw doctor again at 11.00 and she said scan showed some fluid in the cavity behind the uterus and she needed bloods taken. She asked dd if she had had an ectopic pregnancy. Now when dd went 2 weeks ago with bleeding and pain they would not scan her so how would she know?
After another 2 hour wait she talked to consultant and bloods showed 2.7% hgc still in the blood although pregnancy test showed as negative. They concluded she had an ectopic pregnancy and her body was just disposing of the rest of it and that was the fluid. They said that all her reproductive organs showed as ok but there may be fluid in one of the fallopian tubes and she will have to wait to see if it affects future pregnancy tries.
As this was all happening had a phone call from the lifeline people to say Mum had fallen over. So after 10 minutes i managed to reach my sister and she went over to see to her. She has bruised her wrist so after we got back I went and put on a freeze spray and strapped it up.
What a day. I am really not happy with hospital as ectopic pregnancies are dangerous arent they? Surely they knew it was not normal to bleed for 4 weeks?
    Exhausted now

Sorry to hear of your sad day. Hope you and DD resting up now

Yeah but AvM is what i'm talking about for best results ;). :money:

Irrelevant TvM Dr O post below:

Indeed - and thanks for reposting dip dap's post here.

You can see I've 'defaced' your post - if you're talking about Avs M surely Tvs M is irrelevant not relevant? Making dip dap's post, in that context, irrelevant. But actually very relevant indeed - perhaps for those who have no A near enough. Point is that T came back no trace for the Hawaiian version at M and, while T's PP does occasionally miss things, the N/A I feel reflects the fact (unless someone can properly contradict me!) that M don't have the Hawaiian pizza. Hence, if M don't have that pizza, it's quite likely it would also be N/A on the APG vs M, for the simple reason that... well, 'M don't stock it'!!:rotfl: Both T and me (:rotfl:) have 5 versions as being at M and the APG ought to compare on those five too.

I had to wee in a nappy once (it was an emergency, the bathroom was in the process of being ripped out, in any case to get to it I couldn't go through the kitchen as usual as the floor was wet concrete, I would have had to climb out of the window and go back in through the other door, it was -15 outside and I could think of no better solution ) it was a strange experience..not unpleasant as such, just a bit odd :rotfl:

Have I said too much :D

Could have done with a nappy when I was stuck in the snow in a 10 mile traffic jam a few years ago! Had to make do with a Tesco carrier bag - forgot the blessed thing had little holes in it. Wee is supposed to be good for chilblains - must work cos I didn't get any that winter.

Can I take that as a compliment? The Innocent is something I buy all the time and 50p-10% is a good price for Frijj whilst it's not currently possible to get them for almost free. :D

You can indeed. The Frijjs are still good priced vs M. And the Innocents - as they say "why not give them a go?":D. (Nothing to lose is there, putting them on an Avs M £1.09 at the moment.)

The elusive chilblains:eek: I was always told as a kid not to come in from the cold and sit in front of a hot fire or radiator or 'you'll get chilblains:eek::eek:
Ive never had or seen a chilblain and neither has anyone else who was told the same:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: and I spent every winter morning getting off a freezing bus and parking my butt on a hot radiator until the bell rang :D:rotfl::rotfl:
