Good evening:) - N.I stay tuned for the last paragraph - and everyone: I've not much time tonight (or tomorrow:() as I'm getting Morries prep. ready and then tomorrow they'll be little time left for extra checks given that it's an ever-expanding list. But you have been kind to me in leaving me only 24 items on some '2 for £5' cheese.

Sadly the Morries details may take time to filter into the APG so, while I'm fiddling while Rome burns, I'll explain more of my understanding about that in my next post tonight.

In the meantime, without further ado, how about this with your Wyke cheese?

    Seriously Strong Vintage Cheddar (350g)

Just seen 'cheese not working' - is this the correct Wyke cheese?
My Morries explanation will now follow in my next post, rather than this one.

Apologies if already posted ... I am posting and then catching up backwards...

Pimms 1 litre back to £10 at Morrisons until Sunday 7th July.

Passed the fridges and Dr Oetker Ristorante pizzas on offer at £1.25 - asked the guy when offer finished but he didn't know - he said he thought 2/3 weeks as the price had just changed. Not sure when apg likely to catch up with that one - but sure Savvy will have some good advice later on.

Hope everyone having a good day.... !

Sometimes I am too rash, as you'll have seen from some of my failed 'test shops', which I always promise to myself I'll never do again, where I rush out too early and it doesn't work. I suspect that Skips 18+McCoys 15 might have worked the day after I tried but, having failed, it wasn't then attempted again. Only later did the scale of the glitching become clear, which then left us with little or no time against an expiring offer at the competitor (the half-price there on one of the multipacks had already disappeared for me when logged out).

Regarding the Pimms and Morrisons, I wouldn't rush out and get them in Mr A and I'd wait till at least tomrrow night and probably later. However perhaps I am erring too much on the side of caution.

I'd have thought the Pilgrim's Choice Lighter Mature Cheddar (£3.50 in A) would be okay, as that offer has been running for some time in Morries and, the last we heard, it was supposed to be running until 7/7.

    However...

Ruddy apg, lost £1.56 off my apg due to it comapring the benecol to £3.76 each at T when it shows £2 at T on msm. It is completely pot luck with msm at the moment, the wheels seem to have fallen off.

...while I don't find msm.co.uk to be as pot luck as this, it's certainly pot luck with the comp vs Morries in my view. Sometimes (in fact quite often) it takes a while for a new offer to be reflected in the APG, it seems to either await 'approval' from msm (due to the large price change from the previous week) or seems it may be picked up on the Monday but not put into the APG until it is confirmed on the Wednesday price collection (which is then put into the system on, it very recently used to be Thursdays, it's now apparently Fridays). Moreover, if you do shop on 'price collection day' (generally Monday or Wednesday), you may either check your shop before the APG is updated or, even if you wait and delaying checking till well enough after when the APG should be updated, if you shopped on the price collection day but before the time the price collection had been completed, your shopping may, it appears, be subject to the previous price collection and not the one being done on the date of your shop.

There are several scenarios here -

    1. You may shop on the first price collection day (normally Monday, in rare cases - on bank holiday weekends - Tuesday) but before the collection has been completed. Your shop will therefore be compared under the previous collection (from the Wednesday of the week before).

    2. You may shop after the first price collection of the week has been done but check your receipt before the results of that collection are updated into the APG (the update from the Monday, we are told, is now done some time on Wednesday). Your shop will still be compared under the previous collection (last Wednesday's) because the Monday (rarely, Tuesday) collection has not been updated into the APG.

    3. You may shop after the first price collection has been done but wait until after its results have been updated into the APG before checking your receipt. (If the price collection is on Mondays, in effect shopping on the Tuesday to be sure your shop is after the time of the collection, but then waiting till at least Wednesday evening if not Thursday before checking.) Your shop will be compared under the first price collection.

    4. You may shop on the date of the Wednesday price collection, after the APG has been updated from Monday (Tuesday)'s collection but before the new collection has been completed. Regardless of when you enter your receipt (within the 28 day limit of course), your shopping if it qualifies for the APG (i.e. 8 different items etc.) will be compared under the Monday (Tuesday) collection result.

    5. You may shop on Wednesday onwards, after the price collection has been completed, but before the collection result has been updated into the APG some time on the Friday. Your shop will be compared under the Monday (Tuesday) collection as the Wednesday one has not yet been updated into the system.

    6. You may shop on Wednesday onwards (and up until the updating of the following Monday (or Tuesday) collection results), shopping after the Wednesday price collection has been completed, and checking your receipt after the Wednesday collection has been updated into the APG (some time on Friday). Your shop will be compared under the Wednesday collection results. So, for example, if you shop on the Wednesday night (assuming this is after the collection has been done - it would therefore be safer to shop on Thursday), but wait till Friday night (or, safer, some time on Saturday) till checking, the Wednesday price collection should apply to your receipt.

Therefore, with the Pimms, which appears has changed in price today, or is being picked up at that price only today, I'd be inclined to wait at least until the Wednesday collection has been completed and wait till that is updated into the system. Maybe I've being too cautious - maybe you would be okay shopping on Tuesday but waiting till at least Wednesday night (for today's Monday result to be updated into the system) or, preferably, Thursday, before checking. Particularly as being cautious can sometimes itself be an error - much like a car driver failing to drive off and the car behind crashing into him (or her:D).

However it does appear to be pot luck. You may think the price collection on Monday has not yet picked it up and thus wait till the Wednesday collection 'confirms' it. However, it might then be that the product was picked up on the Monday but missed on the Wednesday and you end up with an N/A. On the one hand, it does seem that it often takes some time for a new offer at M to get into the APG. Hence, wait till Wednesday night (hoping they have finished the Wednesday collection by then). But then again, on other occasions, such as the Dr Oetker pizza offer, you might think they'd miss it for the first week and shop in the second week of the offer. Then you might find it was picked up in the first week and the third week of the offer (assuming this offer is still then running) but not in the week you shopped:mad::mad:.

Items can go in and out of stock at the stores they use to check and may therefore appear and disappear from the APG. If an item was last found in stock more than 7 days ago, it is marked N/A. Of course we've no idea when they did or didn't find an item in stock in the stores they checked (I don't know if the exact stores are known to anyone, I certainly don't know them) and thus when it may or may not disappear from the APG.

Anyone know when the TPP system might pick up Ms prices?
I know the website says they check twice a week, just wondered if anyone knows what days it might be? :)
I've got a cond spend to use and wanted to recycle a PP before it expires too

Sorry I have no idea. I don't think they publish it. Why not try asking them? And, if you do get an answer, please let us know.

It seems from a post earlier on here that T PP is already picking up the Dr Oetker pizzas at M at £1.25 each. It seems these may have gone on offer today (I don't know though, as I haven't been in M's over the weekend as Wednesday result on the APG lasts until the new week - albeit that it is now apparently updated into that system on Fridays rather than Thursdays as it was before). I would have thought the offers in M were mostly timed to end on the Sunday, meaning that Mondays are biggest price change day for M (with occasional few more changes on Wednesdays and occasional changes on Saturday for flash weekend-only offers that I don't pick up and I'm unsure whether or how the APG might do so)).

If that is so, that the Dr Oetkers have gone on offer in M only today, it seems that the T PP has already picked up the item and done so a lot quicker than the APG might have done. (We're told the Monday result off that is updated on Wednesday.) This seems surprisingly quick for T PP to have done that. Presumably the T PP collection was this morning (into early afternoon) and has already been updated by the time of the Dr Oetker shop in T (nearly quarter to five tonight). I don't know how they've done it - and so quickly. Perhaps they've just looked for the half price offers and updated them? Seems strange though. Perhaps they have a lot of people in lots of teams collecting the prices for them. I would have thought it would take at least several hours (3-5 hours, possibly more) to scan every single item in M. Maybe I've no conception of how long scanning takes (apparently, in the APG, each item is scanned three times, and that's in each of the six stores used, to 'ensure the prices are accurate') - maybe the T PP does it differently and - last time I read the T PP terms/FAQs - they used three stores. (Presumably one of which is in Scotland if they are to match Scottish alcohol prices. The APG 6 stores are apparently in different regions - I suspect perhaps three in England, two in Scotland and one in Wales??? I think they use one in the Bradford/Leeds area, judging from information in the footnotes of previous A adverts from quite some time ago, and wasn't the other one at Saltney, on the outskirts of Chester??? Another in the south of England somewhere??)
