Just watching Patriot Games and if i closed my eyes could have sworn I was watching Braveheart

Turns out the soundtrack was composed by the same guy. Lazy git just recycled his work! :rotfl:

You're bringing back memories of the funeral I mentioned going to a few threads back!

My mate got a phone call in the middle of the night. He played in a Scottish country dance band (Jimmy Lindsay's) . Somebody had named a dance after him yonks ago and it was used as the publicity music for all the Braveheart promotional events in the northeast of the US.

It was a DJ from a radio station in NewYork phoning him and put the call on live radio in America, He asked him how it felt to have "his" music used and, gentleman that he was, he gave polite answers and made the interview as positive as possible.

Obviously he realised that both he and the DJ were being listened to by a critical audience and he rose to the occasion and gave a good account of himself.

Lots of people would have been put out by being disturbed and woken up for no good reason but he handled it well. Great bloke, much missed.
