Sorry to be ungrateful but I am now a ruined womanWhen The Fun Stops Stop0 -
Just a taster or 'tease', I popped into M as I happened already to be in town today late afternoon and did a quick walk-round. It seems there is not much, if anything, that has expired from my last list (I wasn't checking off any list though - the proper will be done tomorrow - but just having a look around). Now I've suggested there's 'no change', I bet, overnight, every offer SEL in M will come down, everything else be changed and new ones suddenly appear!:D Hope not though..., I don't want yet more change!
Yet again I seemed merely to find additional items, so here's a short(!?) preview to wait on...
For those who, or whose family, insist that it must be Weetabix cereals, M have 36 pack Weetabix at £2.50. (I think I've seen this size at £2 before and not sure if the B/C is different to any other 36 pack Weetabix, as the ones in M had a splash "£2.50" on the packs, suggesting they would be that price if they were sold anywhere else.:mad:- now looked on MSM (.co.uk of course) and the 36 pack Weetabix appears to be just about the only size that A doesn't stock! No good - and Avs S £3.00 vs £3.00 (until 2/7, i.e. 1/7) on the 48 pack appears to work out to the same price per 100g as the straight 36pack price in M. The 24s are sometimes the ones to look for, if they're on multi in A (I don't think they are at the moment), if those are not on MSM and if a rival is significantly cheaper than full price. Sadly, none of these three events appear to exist, leave alone coincide at the moment. I'll put a price alert onto the 24 just to try to alert me if they go on offer somewhere.
Okay... rest is short! (...Or not)
We have the Adidas Body Sprays, Game, Dive and, I think, Extreme Power at 98p in M. Doesn't seem to be any glitch available as no multis in A (A is £1.00) - but just so our non-Northern Ireland friends don't think it best to compare them on Svs A - should (ordinarily, i.e. absent any specific coupons on them, of more than 12p off, usable only in Sains and not in A) be Avs M.
We've got the Vaseline APDs - Aloe Fresh and Active Fresh (250ml) being £1.37 in M (slightly beating vs S at £1.40). £2.59 each in A (potentially glitchable in the future if A puts them on 2 for £4).
I've got the freezer SP Garlic Baguette down as having an equiv. in M (M 30p - Avs M only it now appears).
And this potential little gem:
4x KTC Chopped or Peeled Plum Tomatoes in Tomato Juice (400g)
38p+[Any 3 for £1.00] Any 4 for £1.00 (vs M only)
Possibly glitchable in either direction :j or.
Label get-up appears to be different in M to the labels pictured on msm. The Peeled Plum tomatoes include "KTC PEELED & READY TO USE" and then in bigger letters "PLUM TOMATOES" (not shouting just accurate quotation) on the actual tins in M. Only know this as I, a little stupidly, picked up the tins and bought them today in M as I didn't think A stocked them (they might not in my nearby stores, so perhaps not that stupid after all) - they didn't have them on MSM for A last time I looked for this product (many months back).
Other than that, it seems the Heinz 4 pack chopped tomatoes are back on A (pay the same price as I paid) - they don't have these packs in my A's though - and we're not keen on the chopped version. I know - it's exactly the same but try telling that to the family!:rotfl:
Ocado £4.69:eek::eek::eek::eek: according to msm.
(Sada £1, again says msm.) Now - whose bought them in Ocado using T price match? (N/A in T!:rotfl:)
Finally...
I've now found an alternative on the SP toilet rolls (pack sizes in A no longer being available to compare for Avs S). More details soon (womble result)... (Well, not a 'result' in terms of monetary return but just a return if you see what I mean..(just shows you how the items are returning.))0 -
Good Evening Elite!
All the 5:2 ers look away now...
Well today I decided to [STRIKE]exploit[/STRIKE] take advantage of the refund & replace on Mr A's products, I bought an Extra Special cheesecake last week (with wombles;)) and took back the packet today as it was most certainly not worth £4 .
I was given a £4 refund on a giftcard :j and offered to choose something else to the same value :T so picked the ES choc and hazelnut cheesecake
So 2 free cheesecakes!:j
Not the most I've had from Mr A at any one time but a nice little extra to sample stuff I would never normally buy! Oh and the choc hazelnut cheesecake is just gorgeous...:T:T:T
I do feel ashamed of myself for using the policy to my advantage, I wouldn't normally do such a thing.

Feeling a bit down today. I thought things were looking up for DD with all her troubles the last few months as she found out she was pregnant 2 weeks ago. Bf and her were delighted but unfortunately she started bleeding the day after and has been ever since. Took her to doctor today and she booked her into see someone at EPC tommorow morning. She was due to go to therapy this morning and missed last weeks due to this and was not keen today either. i persuaded her to go and after a rest this afternoon she is feeling a bit better. BF has taken day off tommorow and is taking her to hospital. Doctor thinks it is a miscarriage although test still shows positive.
So sad for her as she has had a rough year and we thought things were getting better. At least her relationship is back on track and BF has been wonderful.
I am treading on eggshells not to upset her but at least i am away for 3 days on Yoko ono's Meltdown at rfh at weekend. Its another world of what they can and cant eat, what things they need in their dressing rooms and how hot their rooms must be. Marianne Faithful and Boy George also there. Still it pays the bills.
Off out to Boots now with my vouchers for a bit of glitching.
Fingers crossed everything will be ok tomorrow Rose. Hugs to you and your daughter.0 -
