Eyebrows - New fashion?

Then again i also used to think blue mascara and eye-liner was the bee knees in the eighties with my spiral perm... so i haven't the right to judge lol
ah yes, electric blue eyeliner and mascara - my DD reckons her generation "discovered" the look last year :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.0 -

Having experimented a lot the best of a bad job is a thin ish 'line' (actually I do a series of lines as an attempt at a less harsh look) More than that draws attention to the lack of hair. I don't have naturally heavy brows anyway, but as they thinned it did look like I was an over plucker.
Sorry LIR, I hope I didn't offend you - I certainly didn't mean to. The eyebrows I was referring to were actually done by some women I knew, all deliberately plucked to be that thin (and with some stubbly bits showing to prove it). It seemed to be a trend a couple of years ago that spread through my workplace like a bush fire, one week all bushy eyebrows, the next week pretty much all gone but for a thin line.....
If I have offended anyone by my previous post, my apologies - I really didn't mean to.0 -
I get mine threaded and tinted (very slightly) but I def don't look like that!!! There's so much of the big brows about just now, in years to come they will all cringe when the see photos!0

I know the look you're referring to, but I wouldn't blame it entirely on the HD brows treatment. I have the HD brows treatment done every 4-6 weeks. I like the colour and the shape it gives me. At the end of the treatment, they put some make up stuff on which can give a similar, but far less severe look. I get back in the car, get a baby wipe out and rub it all off (should really tell them not to bother with it). I don't fill in my brows or do anything to them in between treatments and they don't look anything like the painted on 'beast brows' you see around.
GwenxThough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0 -
I stick to quite a sharp/severe shape, but following the natural lines of the brows, I think it looks good
Mind you I say sharp/severe, but I don't thin them much at all, I just like well defined lines rather than making them skinny.0 -

Of course you haven't!. Please don't feel bad or I will have to now too
. I was just pointing out sometimes people have 'odd looks' because they are making the best of a bad job.
In fact very few people notice when I haven't penciled in eyebrows, its not the kind of thing people actively notice...they just think I look a bit startled or nervy or surprised. Its only when I mention it to people and they go 'omg, I'd never noticed, but I see what you mean, and then they notice afterwards
'. Before that they just thought I was surprised or had an inappropriate love for my eyebrow pencil

If you value your eye sight, DO NOT do a google image search for "scouse brow". I fear I may not recover from seeing some of those horrors!Shrinking my mortgage!

You should try googling "eyebrow fail" - I've got naturally fair eyebrows that I need to pencil in or have dyed - but some of the shapes are   :eek:Always be yourself, unless you can be a Unicorn - then always be a Unicorn !
