Starting a Botox business

Hi Chrissy,
Have I touched a nerve? Having read through some of your other threads I suspect that I have and I am sorry for that. At the moment, the industry is unregulated and until the Keogh report is implemented or developed further, I suspect that anyone from a brain surgeon to a cleaner could train, if they so wished.
I think you are missing the point of my starting this thread - it was to gain more information about a subject that I admit I know little about but that's why I started this thread:o. I have spent both afternoons of this weekend researching this area - research that has involved talking to people, reading lots and seeing what the pitfalls of this business are. Typing into a search engine yesterday brought me to MSE and some of the threads that have already discussed this area in some depth. What is wrong with that? The whole point of starting this thread was to increase my knowledge base as I am the first person to admit that I know little about it. I wonder if you managed to pick that up reading my posts:o
Why have my questions elicited such a reaction from you? You rather eloquently describe this business venture as a money spinner but that's not the reason I am pursuing it - though it will be a nice perk. I also rent out flats - an area that I knew absolutely nothing about from a business perspective before I started. But guess what, I researched and talked to other people. I even asked questions on the House Buying' thread on MSE and it's worked out well. Yes, Botox is very different from letting out flats but the principle is the same. Research and research some more, talk to people, listen to their experiences and learn from them, look at all the pitfalls that might occur and then start researching again;)
I came onto the Up your Income board as I thought I would receive the same warm welcome and advice that was available on other boards. I also read some threads from people who were in similar positions to me - NHS employees looking to start a Botox Business and I thought they might have posted something. I wasn't expecting your negative response. With that sort of attitude nobody would try and better themselves.
Hope you continue to have a good day:)
Not sure what you are referring to but comparing renting property to injecting people with poison isnt even in the same ball park !
