As title - where have you decided to get your next gen console from?
Personally i prefer somewhere that i can collect from locally so that i am not at the mercy of the postman.
Which of the main stores are taking preorders and how much do they want for the privilege?
The only ones that i have seen online so far want the whole amount upfront which im not willing to do

Amazon, they do not take any payment upfront, only when dispatched.
I too would prefer to pick up but as you say it means putting money down now, Amazon's returns are excellent though, so I'm not that fussed about it.
Means I can preorder and start saving :eek:0 -
I was thinking about getting one from Amazon too .. planning on saving my vouchers from Swagbucks for one!0

Cancelled my Amazon pre-order today as they're £334.99 from Toys R Us. (Amazon might match them, but a bird in the hand etc...)0

I've gone for Amazon for now, but I'll probably switch to a midnight launch closer to the time. I spend half my time at my mothers house so I am actually debating buying 2 (I already have 2 ps3's).
The Vita midnight launch was really good fun, and a sony rep turned up and gave away lots of cool stuff (headphones, keyrings, backs, shirts, game vouchers) so if there is one close enough I'll go.0 -
I've pre-ordered online from the Game website. I can use the reward points to put towards a few games.0

I'll never pre-order anything from Game ever again after the muckups they've made with previous pre-orders.
We're pretty much decided in this house we'll pick the PS4 up over the Xbox SpyingOnYouInYourUnderpantsOne - but probably will wait a few months until there's a bigger batch of games out for it (it's not the launch titles that tend to appeal to me) and the initial "woo shiny" price drops a little bit.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
I've always had a good experience with Game. Been pre-ordering stuff from them for years.
No company is perfect, but it's not the end of the world if my PS4 doesn't arrive on release day.0 -
sure it was that? as it's showing £339.99 still cheaper though.

Enter that code above for £5 off. Takes it down to £334.99, and they guarantee it won't be more than that (might be less if they drop price again). Card not charged until despatch either.
Thanks to HUKD for that!0 -
I was going to leave it for a year or two and pick up a PS4 when they're cheaper. It's not like there's going to be that many games for a short while after the initial launch.0
