Hummingbird brownie disaster

Hi Old Stylers,

I was wondering if any of you had problems with the Hummingbird chocolate brownie. I have double checked tha I didn't leave anything out and I followed the recipe but its so greasy and crumbly.

Any ideas?

Which recipe is it? (I have all their books and I think there are a couple of recipes)

I made it very successfully the other week - even though I made it vegan. I generally find their recipes really good. Sorry to not be of more help!

I haven't tried it. I've had a few minor issues with their red velvet recipe though, seems too acidic for me. If you're looking for another recipe to try, Edd Kimber's (The Boy Who Bakes) brownie recipe is really good.

Thanks - it was the traditional, non-frosted one. It seemed to be ok and ungreasy ince it had cooled down and the birthday girl seemed to like it so maybe it was fine afterall. Im allergic to chocolate so won't be making it again anyway.
