Payday Loan Took My Benefit Money

Ok thanks. I thought perhaps that, when I originally took out the loans that, we agreed on a certain date with a certain amount. But because out of the blue they have taken the £118, I might of had a case.
But thanks for your help
It's not "out of the blue", they've been trying to take it since you failed to do as you'd promised. It's their money, not yours.
I'd advise spending your time looking to improve your income, rather than trying to get money off a company that legitimately claimed it back. It'll probably have a better return for you.0 -
I agree: this whole 'out of the blue' is nonsense. You didn't repay when you agreed to; not did you contact them to pay an amount to extend. So they keep trying to complete on your agreement.Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.- Mark TwainArguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon: no matter how good you are at chess, its just going to knock over the pieces and strut around like its victorious.0

I don't think soDo I have a leg to stand on here?
You authorized them to take money out some time before 15th June, they have been trying since then to get the money but you have not had enough in the account to pay them, they are entitled to keep trying to take the money that you agreed to pay them.I understand that I took out the loans but, I never authorized them to take £118 on the 15th of June. So, would I be able to fight this because of this reason?loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0 -

oft has laid straict guidelines down, that these sharks cant use your card as a CPA.... they also cant take money that is for essential use ie rent and foodPromo codes are never always cheaper..... isnt that right EuropCar?0

Yet despite that people on benefits do use pay day loans for whatever reason yet benefit money is for rent and food as you say.
OP instead of resorting to pdl's you should have looked at your spending and cut back on things not needed.0 -
I had a similar problem with Wonga. Although I called them before I missed the payment, and on the day I missed the payment. They agreed to freeze my account until we had arranged a payment plan.
Then then cleared my account out.
Called them up, and explained that my account was now empty, leaving me with no money for food etc, and I was of the understanding that my account was on hold. They called it an 'Administrative Error' and agreed to refund all the money which they had taken. Which, to their credit they did within 24 hours. My bank even refunded my overdraft charges after I told them what had happened.
My account with Wonga is still on hold, and they have not attempted to take anymore money (all though I have changed banks just incase)
The key with these companies is communication. They appreciate that people make mistakes/circumstances changes etc. Be proactive with them, show that you are taking responsibility and they will treat you fairly. Imo. Ignore them, and they will treat you like a ______. These thing dont just go away, they get worse and worse.
To echo what everyone else has said, speak to Stepchange or Payplan. I am with Payplan and in the process of setting up a DMP. Cannot speak highly enough of them0 -
OP the did not take your benefit money only available funds that you ''agreed to'' when you took out the loan.
The payday loan company would not have any idea of what or when monies go into your acccount but they will keep on trying getting their money back.0
