Camcorder With Slow Motion Playback: Any Recommendations Please?

Options
I'm certainly not an expert in this area but have been asked to source a new camcorder, the only criterion being that it can produce good quality slow motion (and if necessary very slow motion) playback. POssible spend up to about £1000??? Also I think a camcorder that records straight to disk as opposed to tapes. Any suggestions please?

    Zeke

I have put quite a few posts on asking for information on Camcorders as I want to upgrade but they never seem to get a response.

It seems that out of all the thousands and thousands of people that use the forum, No one know anything (in detail) about damn camcorders!

You can slow down any camera footatge on a computer using an editing programme such as Final Cut or Premier, ot do you just want a camera with a very high frame rate?

BTW, I recommend tapes if you want to do any professional work, because you will get higher resolution that is easiar to edit with. But if you just want to do home movies, then hard disc is the simplest option.
