Hello everyone
I am moving from Birmingham to Bangor at the beginning of May. I have used Telewest Broadband service here very happily but as they do not provide the service in Northern Ireland I am trying to work out what to use in its place. I am neither a heavy nor a light user but don't want to be too restricted by download capacity. I am sure some of you moneysavers have done the research and can give me some good feedback on what I should have. Personal recommendation is always the best in my view.

If you are moving to an NTL area, you should check out their offerings.
If not, then you are really left with getting ADSL from any number of providers, and I would suggest checking out https://www.adslguide.org.uk for many opinions

Bangor, NI isn't in an NTL area so as Desg mentioned you are left with getting ADSL and I second the adslguide.org.uk website. Personally I'm with PlusNet.0

Thanks guys
Any more personal recommendations welcome. I have had telewest broadband in Birmingham for nearly 3 years with 99% up time and hope to find something as reliable and cost effective.

I'm with Vispa (www.vispa.com) - not the cheapest, but their service and support are superb.0

I'm with Tiscali. With them for a long time, never had any problemsMac0

I'm in Bangor and with Nildram 2mb, used Nildram 2 years, totally 100% reliable and when I had a problem with BT line quality, they kept at BT on my behalf until it was properly sorted. Excellent customer support and usually one of the fastest (compare here) http://www.adslguide.org.uk/isps/compare.asp
Not the cheapest perhaps but you get what you pay for. I would never think of leaving them. This is the product I have http://broadband.nildram.net/view_products.php?group=broadband2
PS It isnt the dearest by a long shot - look at similar product from Vista recommended above http://www.vispa.com/broadband-consumer-home2000.php0 -
I'm with plus.net (https://www.plus.net). Been with them since last October. No problems whatsoever. No connection problems ever. I'm on PlusNet Broadband Home Lite 2Mb with included 1GB bandwidth for £14.99 a month.
Except looking at their website now, I can't see this package. :-( Thats a pity.0 -
I have just visited the site and there is a deal for £14.99 per month with free connectiona nd free modem. Is this the one you have.
