My grocery money saving tip

I'm a merchandiser so I'm in and out of shops all day. Therefore I can't stand browsing or wandering round as it's all work to me!

I know where most things are in all the local supermarkets, so just whizz in with my baskets to the aisles where I need things, and avoid looking at anything else

I used to be the worlds worse for the "special offers". I work for company who go in and check supermarkets special offers (prices and availability) and I walked out every day with something or other that was a "bargain" which I didnt need. Since joining this board I now use my knowledge and still buy some of the offers but those that I can use and plan menus around with what I already have in the house, or that the reduction is enough to justify buying then rather then when needed. I also get to be around in stores quite late in the evenings and often get to pick up reduced meat, veg, bread etc but Im more aware of what I already have at home and only buy if I can incorperate it with what I have. I still spend more then Id like to on grocery shopping but I have reduced it by about £15 a week
