Buying a Printer

Can anyone recommend me a cheapish printer, one that the ink will be a reasonable cost to replace.
It won;t be used for photo printing, just documents & similar stuff.Cheers

I got a Kodak, some time ago (I think it was the day before they announced that they were going 'pop', thank goodness they kept the printing side of things going).
I can honestly say that it's probably one of the best purchases I've ever made. It's simple to use, reliable (I don't think I've had a jam yet), relatively fast to print documents (depending what setting you have it on), but the principal reason I bought it was because the print cartridges were cheap as chips - none of this refilling business. Happily, they remain so, and last a long time too.0 -

Shame the cartridges are not as cheap though which is also what the OP wants, I agree with Post 2. Buy a Kodak and then you know that you have got a great reliable printer with super cheap but good ink.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. The cost for printers is in the ink rather than the printer itself. Whatever you decide to buy - before you buy go on amazon and check the cost for compatible ink cartridges. we have an epson and a brother printer, good quality compatible and most importantly cheap ink is available for both.0
