Halifax mortgage process how long

Dear all,
Myself and my partner both have completed a full mortgage application with Halifax and have paid the valuation fee a week ago. I just wondering how long would it takes for the mortgage to be approved?
Also will there be any possibility that it come back as declined? I am very worry about it because we have been declined by Santander about a month ago due to my wages being paid by cash and my partner was just got in the current job for 1 month. Then we put an application in with Halifax this month.
Both of us have a very good credit rating, my credit rating is 852 and my partner's 979. We got through the mortgage application with A passed. We are both first time buyer, the property we are buying is a share-ownership resale property. We have put down 30% deposite.
please help me.....

If you got an A pass with Halifax and that amount of deposit it may well fly through their system but they are backed up on valuations at the moment.
