I'm searching for big prizes, using keywords like holiday, trip, break etc. The kind of competitions where there might be a big entry window.
You only get twelve pages of results though, and the game overs take up a lot of that. So I just wanted to know if there was a way to remove them.0 -
Hi,one way of getting around the search is via this link: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=72&daysprune=-1&order=asc&sort=popularity&filter=stickies
It's the "popular" comps on the live board. To see the most popular go to the last page & work backwards,if that makes sense :-)0 -
Do an advanced search - and then take the tick out of the child forums radio button. You'll have to speak up; I'm wearing a towel0

I feel really stupid, because I thought it meant that there was a children's version of MSE.

The main comp board (72) is the Parent, The children are the four sub-boards - IWIWIW (73); Game Over (74); Regulars (93); Compers Chat (215)
Note that unticking the "child forums" button means you are NOT searching for live comps posted in Regulars.
Note also that at the bottom of the advanced search is an option to "Save Search Preferences" so you can untick the button then save so that the button is always unticked when you use advanced search. This only affects advanced search, basic search will still include child forums.0 -

D'oh!
I had no idea what it was either and used to wonder why it was included!
I should have asked... this thread has answered something I wanted too as I was fed up searching for specific items and finding most comps were from GO. 0
