I have been lurking on this site and doing my best to clear my 0% credit card before the deal runs out at the end of October, and it's been going okayish but now temptation has arrived in the shape of a shiny new balance transfer offer from my other credit card.
Getting my balance cleared by October is painful and a new balance transfer would allow me to relax hugely. On the other hand it would allow me to relax hugely and that would probably put paid to debtbusting.
It is tempting though as I am so tired of having to watch the pennies so carefully. I think the only thing that's stopping me at the moment is I have 1% chart and if I take the balance transfer I'll have to remove 3 of my pretty 1% squares which is an extremely effective demotivation tool. Thank you 1% people.
However I can feel the pressure easing off and I am quite capable of letting things slid until I have to take the balance transfer in October.
So I have started this diary as motivation to stop myself slipping backwards. If I state on here that I will clear off my credit card by October hopefully this will encourage me to do so.
First challenge, I have £6.79 to last me til pay day on the 20th (and have had since last Wednesday) I have been avoiding all shops since then but tomorrow I have to go to the supermarket and buy bread and snacks for work and I must not over spend.
And I absolutely must not take the balance transfer.
More postively, I will clear my credit card by October
