If you are thinking of buying or upgrading an existing printer then take a good look at a current offer from online computer reseller, Misco.com are offering the Hewlett Packard OfficeJet Pro K550dtn for £58.74 inc VAT (delivery extra). This printer is currently selling on Amazon for £162.49 (or £87 if you buy from the Amazon Marketplace).
This cracking printer provides fast, accurate colour printing on stock up to A4. It is networkable so if you have a router for broadband access then plug it in and make it available to all the computers on your network. Two large paper feeds and duplex printing are provided as standard. This printer is a workhourse to have around the home. Note that photo printing really isn't its primary objective so if you require that functionality then look for a dedicated photo printer. For everything else, this is the one.
For all who are IT challenged, this printer the setup is easy and should take no more than 15 minutes to install out of the box.
This is an excellent upgrade to an existing inkjet or for home/office use. Be sure to check that it will physically fit where you want to put it as it has a larger than normal footprint.
I bought one, I love it and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

You may not be quite so enthusiastic when you need to buy cartridges.. :rolleyes:0 -
A full set from Misco is around £40. The replacement black and three individual colour cartridges (cyan, magenta and yellow) last for approx 830 and 620 respectively. This cost per print doesn't match my mono laser printer, however, that isn't networkable, auto duplexing or colour. The sensible thing to do will be to use both printers according to my print needs.0
