Hi All, Just ordered one for my little boy's upcoming birthday. Have been looking for a good deal on this or Leappad for ages and have been struggling to find it anywhere for below £60. Came across this on Amazon yesterday for £47.49 with free super saver delivery.

Although this will probably be more durable, is it not better to get a 'proper' 7 inch tablet and put children's apps on it? Many are available around the £50 mark and I would guess they'll have longer/other uses, especially for the older end of this age-range.0

I found this website is good for keeping an eye on the price of the Innotab 2 and stock levels
http://www.stockinformer.co.uk/checker-innotab-2.
Kalico, the Innotab is often bought for 3-4 year olds, we had a tablet, but this fell and hit the floor when my daughter dropped it as you would expect from a toddler from time to time, screen smashed and little shards of glass everywhere. My daughter has managed to break the original Innotab, but I do believe it was faulty but since having the Innotab 2 it has been very durable and so far *touch wood* worked perfectly. Of course if your buying for older than say 6-7 years the Innotab isn't particularly suitable and maybe a tablet is better for them.Comping wishlist for 2017

Does anyone know what type of touch-screen it is?
Is it the capacitive type like iPod etc? Or the older resistive film type?
Thanks.0 -
