Repossesion details

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. I am going for a mortgage with my wife. 15 years ago before we were together her house was repossessed. I went to court and no money was owing and she got money back. Bur now because we declared this on our application with Nationwide they want a lot of info re this possession which she does not have.
1) how far back do Natwest keep records like this?
2) If we have no details -- What do we do??

I am very worried, I do not want to loose this!!

Thanks

They lawfully only have to keep records for 6 yrs after the cessation of the account - so NWest may have nothing to provide - but you can still ask.

CML reposession register no longer exists.

Credit Ref Agencies, only carry account details ofr 6 yrs post cessation (default in this case).

For a repo over 15 yrs ago, and if you can demonstrate a change in financial circs to that which resulted in the repo, and a clean credit record to date - I think NWide are being thorough, but I dont' think this will be a deal breaker.

You had to disclose the past repo, as not to do so if asked, would have amounted to mge fraud - so rest assured you did the right thing.

    Hope this helps
