BBQ Gas Regulator Hose from Cannister to Full Size

Hi all,

I have bought a Webber Q100 - it was about £50 from B&Q.

However, the propane gas regulator and hose don't seem to be for the standard sized BBQ's that you plug into a large cylinder.

The gas regulator is small. So I purchased a full size gas regulator with hose. However, that has a thicker hose and whilst the regulator fits a full-sized cylinder, the other size does not fit the Webber Q100.

Two connectors not the same so the one I bought won't fit on the BBQ.

Widths of cables are also different.

I think that I might need to buy this:

However, is this something Webber specific or is there a general term for this regulator and hose allowing a camping BBQ to connect to a standard sized cylinder.

I am reluctant to spend around £40 on a regulator and hose when the BBQ only cost me £50 in the first place and I do want a small BBQ with a cost efficient full sized cylinder.

Thanks!

You need Patio Gas now for barbecues and for your webber you need this hose and regulator http://www.gardenxl.com/weber-hose-and-regulator-kit-q100?gclid=CPr27sCFgrgCFbMftAodRVwAuw

I use the Patio Gas with the dial on it which is great so you can see when its getting low.

You can use regular propane bottle for your bbq, but you must make sure the regulator drops the gas pressure down to the correct level. I heard of someone at work who managed to explode his bbq that way.
