How to post shortened links?

Hi so sorry to bother people but this is driving me nuts. Im not technocologicly minded so havent got a clue. How do you post a link to a competition without having a big URL on the page - like having it hidden with the title or 'click here' etc. Any help would be appreciated! xoxo:o

Hi,there a guide below for you.Just my view but I'd rather you named the site rather than posting such as "click here".Plus post the link as the first line in the post.That way it is possible to see what site it is,in page view, without opening the thread up.After all its not a secret plus posting that way is quicker as it is pure C&P with no typing needed.

9 How do I do a 'clicky' instead of putting the full URL?
On the image below, follow the numbered steps.

Right click & copy the URL of the comp you want to post.

1. Type the text that you want to be your neat link / clicky, For Example, ‘Hamper Clicky’ on the post & then highlight it. (I also make the word/s bold too at this point so they show up better in the post as a link).
2. Click the icon of a world with a paper clip under it & a box will appear.

Remove 'http://' that is already in the box & then paste the comp URL in. Then click 'OK'. Your neat link / clicky is now done.

I think people prefer the whole link to be honest, that way they can see which page the comp is with just by hovering over the title, if it's a site they don't use they don't need to open the comp.

It's helpful if you need to post a link in the daily comps so it can be copied & pasted across to the front page
