                    Hi guys
After a lot of job hunting I have an interview with an agency for a temporary warehouse position.
The agency are holding their interviews actually on site I'm just wondering if my best bet is to go suited and booted, or is it overkill, would I be ok with just a smart shirt, trousers and shoes, is a tie necessary?
Also the recruitment firm is Flex Recruitment and the job is in Kettering for Oxford University Press, I'm hoping that if I am successful that the temporary job may become permanent, has anyone had any dealings with these companies before?
Thanks for any input.
Barry

Oxford University Press is supposed to be a very good employer and hard to get into. I've applied for quite a few jobs with them and not even got an interview. So if you manage to go from temporary to permanent you're on to a good thing.
I can't comment about interview attire for warehouse positions but in my opinion I think it's better to be overdressed than underdressed!
Best of luck - hope you get it 0 0

The fact that it is with the agency makes no difference as to what you wear compared with an interview with the employer.
Have they said what form the interview will take? Will it simply be face-to-face with someone from the agency? With agency and an employer rep? Will you be asked to perform any task while there or meet others working there?
I'd go dressed smartly - not necessarily a suit - depends on the weather -and regular footwear, not trainers.
 Good luck!0

As it's not a role where you would be expected to wear a suit, I would say a suit isn't necessary for the interview (particularly if you're not used to wearing one - it will make you feel uncomfortable and self-conscious).
BUT, that isn't to say you shouldn't go as the best dressed warehouseman on the planet! Shirt ironed, trousers pressed (no jeans), shoes sparkling, cleanly shaven, hair clean and well presented, nails trimmed and clean, jewellery to a minimum... you get the idea!
 Good luck.0

Thanks for the input everyone, I've not been told what form the interview will take, but I've been asked to take in all my particulars, bank details, right to work in the UK and references going back 5 years, luckily I was at the same employer for 11 so it makes that part all the more easier.
The agency so far have been great, the chap I spoke to was polite and extremely friendly, plus they are paying more than the minimum wage.
I will report back after the interview has taken place.
 Thanks once again.0

Just another update, yesterday I received a phone call from John Lewis warehouse telling me that I had been successful in getting a full-time warehouse job with them!!
This was a job I had completely forgot about as I had been to my assessment nearly 6 weeks ago.
Soooo since this is a full time job with a better hourly rate......not to mention the discounts!! I have just contacted the agency to apologise and accepted the John Lewis position.
I am just waiting for some documents to come through the post for me to sign and then I will hopefully start very soon.
A good end to the week for me!!!!! Very happy.0
