Hello lovely DFWers. :hello:

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Today I will:

- send everyone to their various activities/work with pack ups
- do piggy clicks
- go to the bank to pay in tutoring fees :j
- do a matched bet, and update totals
- not increase my debt any more than is absolutely necessary (got to pay holiday activity fees  )
- be positve
- apply for mortgage exit fee refund from Nationwide

Have a fab day everyone xx

    1. Leftovers from last night's dinner are about to go in the microwave for today's lunch.
    2. Have also started sorting through my stocks of wool, to decide what can be used for making my winter cardies & jumpers.
    3. When I can face the ladder, I'm going to get on it & start some decorating - no way am I paying someone the £400 they quoted me to do my lounge & hall.

    I'm having a good day as I have/will:

    - done piggy clicks & comps & recommended to some friends (for hopefully a 500 point bonus!)
    - got my payslip & started working out June's budget
    - didn't have time for breakfast, but instead of buying some ate jammy dodgers instead in the office (not so good for being a fat-free wanabee though )
    - got a Trivial Pursuit set off freecycle for hours of DFW fun at home
    - fingers crossed I also get a set of curtains from freecycle
    - charged my mobile phone at work
    - arranged to borrow a backpack for going to IoW festival rather than buying one
    - I will list at least 5 items on Ebay/green metropolis tonight

Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.
