I came across Red Mist by David Tomlinson on free offer on Kindle today. Looks like a cracking London set crime thriller - good for Lee Child or James Craig fans.
Louie Case is the wrong man to make angry.
A former celebrity body-guard, he's just been released from jail for throwing a rock star out of his hotel window.
But back on the streets of London, he's finding it hard to keep an even temper.
His beloved music teacher Clarissa Glendenning has been killed in a hit-and-run incident by three young joyriders.
But why are the police dragging their feet?
They have CCTV footage, they have the vehicle, and they have forensics, so why haven’t they made an arrest?
Louie is determined to find out.
And once Louie sees red, he won't stop until justice is done -- no matter how many people are in the way.
'Red Mist' is a punchy urban thriller, bringing a hint of Raymond Chandler into an urban London landscape. In Louie Case, crime fiction has a captivating new star -- Jack Reacher with a sense of humour.
'This is crime so hard boiled you'll break your teeth on it' - Scott Griffin, best-selling author of The Benefactor.
"Be warned: once you start reading Red Mist, you won't want to put it down. This is one of those edge-of-the-seat, nail-biting thrillers that grips you right up to the last word." - Colin Dunne author of 'Red Alert'.
David Tomlinson is an ex BBC producer and scriptwriter.
