How Do You Get Your CSA File?

Options
Sorry to clog up the board as I know this has been explained before, but I can't seem to find a post with all the answers.

I'd like to know how to get my file from the CSA. What do I need to ask for? Who do I need to write to? Who do I make my £10 out to, etc?

And how long will it take to get it?

Thanks
Grateful to finally be debt free!

And address it to the Data Controller CSA

And use whatever address you normally write too...

Send it recorded delivery and they have 40 days to send it to you...

When you write the letter, make sure you request "ALL data held on my file including audio recordings of phone conversations".

Yeh thats the same, any search on google will give you the idea, that is not perfect but tells you roughly how to do it...

And don;t forget audio calls, as they record, and they will send those on disc... ;)
  • Thanks. I phoned up and asked for an address. She said not to send the money as they ask for it on completion. This seems contrary to what that website says so I might just send it anyway.

Send a cheque, then if they cash it they cash it, if they don;t they can't delay because you haven't paid which is the normal response for them we didn't follow the request because no payment was received, and they are not obliged to notify you either...

When i did mine i sent postal order and i am an NRP and they credited to the account and paid it as if had sent for part payment to PWC, bizarre, but then they requested payment again, and i refused payment as it had been received and cashed... It did cause them some problems as i had proof of delivery and report on the payment being made and they where instructed by the MP on my case that any delay would result in HIM involving the data protection agency for breaching... It was still late, but cost them anyway, as they sent to the wrong address int he UK and when i complained about delivery to the wrong address it meant they had to send by secure courier to Norway overnight and it cost them over £120 in delivery...!!!
