Does anyone have any experiences of afternoon tea in and around London please? Looking for something but not very expensive and nice and yummy.
Thank you

I went to the Hilton at Hyde Park, the food was delicious and there was lots of it we brought our cupcakes home as well as 2 scones. We were a little disappointed to see that they had a different menu when we went, it was an anniversary menu, however the cakes we were given were still delicious.
I got the voucher from Buy a Gift with 20% off. Via the website the teas are priced a £30 each for an afternoon tea without champagne and £37 with, the original price on buy a gift was £59 so we presume we wouldn't get a glass of champagne with our voucher but we decided would pay for one on the day, however the waiter said that it was included with our voucher.
So we paid £44.25 instead of £74 for 2 of us for an afternoon tea with champagne.
The hotel is nice inside but from the outside I have to admit its a bit dreary and perhaps not in the best location if you want somewhere with a view.

My sister did this and she loved it - it sounds great fun!
I think lastminute.com also do deals on afternoon teas0 -
You have to book months in advance for popular venues/weekends.
This one was a good experience, Nr Kensington with view onto Hyde Park:
