£2000 in an investment trust

I have received an email from Moneywise this afternoon to say I have won £2000 to invest in shares courtesy of the AIC, with contact details to make the arrangements. I've had a look at the original competition and at the Moneywise/AIC website and it all looks legit but I can't help feeling that this could be a scam. Maybe its because I'm not used to winning such a big prize! Any advice before I call them tomorrow would be greatly appreciated.

This comp was posted by Jambodaveprince so a big thank you to you for the post!!

  • What a lovely wee nest-egg. Well done and enjoy being an investor. Not sure how long it would last before I'd cash it in!!

    Carry on comping xx
  • Thanks everyone for your messages.

I've spoken to my sister and we've done some investigating and come to the conclusion that it's all above board so I'll phone them tomorrow and see what happens. Think the shock of such a big win made me so suspicious!

Don't know anything about investing so may just cash them in as soon as possible!!
