Olympic bar, new or second hand?

Hi all
Changes in my life mean that I'm no longer able to get into my local (to work) gym so I'm now stuck without access to any decent weights. I'm thinking about getting an olympic bar, possibly a squat rack, and a pile of weighs and wondered about the best place to get them. I've been looking on ebay but the kind of gear I'm looking at on there seems to go for a lot and I wondered if I'm not better off biting the bullet and buying new? I tend to do olympic lifts/cross fit stuff so need up to ~ 200kg so I'm guessing the cheapy stuff won't do?

The equiptment you are after is expensive, even 2nd hand as its not something that loses value.
I bought a power rack, bench, 7ft olympic bar and 100kg weights with a lat attachment for £650 brand new last year.
If you use dumbells id suggest the bowflex 1090. Easily the cheapest around for what you get.0 -
I'd also check your floor can cope as insurance may not pay out for damage from a dropped weight. Concrete would maybe be best with jigsaw mats?
Also, do you bench? Would it be worth drafting a spotter? I powerlift and would be frightened to bench heavy on my own in case anything happened.
