Thanks Karma67 - It's quite difficult getting credit these days!
Slowly but surely we can rebuild our rating!0 -
I thought I would mention this (although it may be blatently obvious) as I used to be rejected for store cards all the time and not have any financial reasons for this happening to me. Are you sure your name is on the voters role? If they can't track your name/ address on the voters role, many companies refuse to give you credit.0

Well, I went to vote last Thursday so I guess I'm on the electoral role?
Anyway, an update for you - finally managed to get 2 statements from various banks and have sent these off - Sitting and waiting now!0 -
does anyone know if capital one offer to move you up to a better card if you prove trustworthy with this one?
Learn from the mistakes of others - you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.0 -

They do. They will probably raise your limit before lowering your APR. Sometimes they send out an offer to get a Premium Card but at an extra cost. Normally, if you stick with the CapOne card for 12 months, apply for a more mainstream card. If that is successful you can then ask CapOne of they will upgrade your account - if no, close it. 6 months later, apply for the Premium card or the Platinum one.0
