If you're leaving the board for your own personal reasons then good luck to you sir.

If you're leaving because of some idiot then I'm disappointed in you Mike. People look up to you for advice and inspiration. We've had a few cross words but you are an asset to this board and to be honest if you left because of someone being tw@tish then I think you're a bit of a plonker! :)

Take a couple of days/weeks, to let things settle. If you still think the same after then fair enough.

Hey Mike - What's a Liverpool lad like you doing that for?
You can't let what's going on upset you after all you've been through.
I feel, equally strongly about the !!!!!! that happened over the weekend, and it breaks my heart to see the division that the fall-out is causing.
I won't be posting again, until the week-end, when I'll certainly be looking for that little green light under your avatar.

I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Hey Mike, I don't post on the bankruptcy board very often as I've no experience of it, so can't offer any real advice or support, but I do read a lot of the threads, and I understand why you are feeling that way.

I can only really echo what others have said, you are an asset to the board and the site (you were one of the first people to chat to me when I first found my way onto DFW, and I wont forget how welcome you made me feel), and it would be a pity if you were driven away by a small minority of people.

Please do have a think about it, step back for a couple of weeks if you need to, but don't desert MSE altogether - it wouldn't be the same without you.

    Mike,

I think you can safely say that you would be greatly missed if you were to stop posting.

You have helped and advised so many people, me included, not just on the Bankruptcy Board, but on DFW in general, and I know you received so much great advice when you were going through it yourself.

Please dont let a few brainless numptys keep you away from us.

Sorry to see you go Mike. :( I'm not going to try to persuade you to stay, because only you can know the effect of all this stuff on you & you've been around a lot longer than I have. Maybe when I've been around as long as you've been, I'll feel the same as you. Until that happens, everyone here is stuck with me for a while longer. Good luck with whatever you do in the future. :)
