No it shouldn't - think of some questions they may ask and make sure she knows the role she is being interviewed for and what that may cover on a daily basiskaties_mum wrote: »Thank you. My daughter is due to go for her McDonalds interview in the morning.
We have provisionly got the middle 2 weeks of August booked for a holiday (but nothing is booked) it might turn out that we don`t go anywhere, or might just go away for a few days. Wondering if anyone can offer any advice as to how she should address this if asked as we don`t have definite plans or dates. If there is a small chance of her getting the p/t job I don`t want this to go against her as there could be lots of other kids with no holidays booked.
We`d be grateful for any pointers, she is 16 about to go to 6th form college in September and fingers crossed is hoping that this could be something that she can do whilst at college.
We`d be grateful for any advice, this is her first interview for any p/t role. Many thanks.0 -
She should be honest, because it is likely they will ask, they may expect no holidays to be taken in the first 3 months etc. If for example you were to take a holiday off outside of the first 3 months and she explained that, she should be fine, but it all comes down to what the manager/interviewer is like and how demanding/understanding they are.
Also, given a lot of their staff are students, and are probably leaving for University this summer, i can imagine they will be understaffed for the summer and very busy, again, just something to bear in mind.Professional Data Monkey

Be honest, remember there will be plenty of other students already working for them who will have extra time on their hands to take more hours during the holidays. (My son is a college student whose just started working for MacDonalds, he loves it, started at 07.00 this morning, after finishing at gone 21.00 last night)Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0
