Help please re deed of covenant

I have exchanged contracts and completion date was set for this Friday. Contacted solicitors at time of exchange and was told that was it apart from confirmation of mortgage money being sent on completion date. I therefore decided it be best if my partner left the country and went to her native country in Europe with our baby.
Last Saturday I received a deed of covenant stating I we both needed to sign this. This is a bit late in the day and as my partner is out of the country it will take some time to send and sign etc.
Any advice?

A deed of covenant for what, exactly?I am a mortgage broker. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Ok there is both a land registry - transfer of part of registered title and also deed of covenant, which looks like its between myself and the management company of the communal areas of the development.0

As this is non-mortgage related, you might want to ask on the HBR&S board and hope one of the legal types is around.
TBH I can't answer, other than "ask your solicitor" I'm afraid.I am a mortgage broker. Ok thanks, ill ask on one of the other boards.
Just contacted the solicitor and the girl who was dealing with me has left the company and the only lawyer available has lost their voice. They promised they would contact the sellers solicitor and get back to me this morning. What a terrible service.0 -
