Put a couple of stalks in water in an old glass or cup. In a couple of days it will have rooted, pot it up, keep the soil wet at all times. Grow your own.0

I have a bag of Watercress, but i'm not sure what to do with it.
I'd like to make some sort of salad with it, but can't find a recipe.
..any ideas?I Hate Jobsworths!!!0 -
Soup? Or put it in sandwiches. I personally couldn't have a salad in winter unless it was a warm salad with watercress, new potatoes, lemon juice, olive oil and maybe some kind of protein like egg or fish?Since starting again after beanie: June 2016: Child development DVDs, Massive Attack tickets. July: Aberystwyth trip, hotmilk nightie. Aug: £10 Hipp Organic vouchers, powerpack. September: Sunglasses. October: £30 poundland vouchers.0

My favourite salad: watercress, segmented pink or red grapefruit and grilled duck.
Otherwise I agree with the poster above soup: takes ust a fewminutes to make alight water cress soup ...a little onion, some veg or chicken stock. Persoanlly I prefer it without potato to thicken it: I think its lovelier as a light peppery soup.0 -

a classic salad with watercress is watercress and orange. yes its that simple, just watercress with orange segments mixed in. you segment the orange over a bowl and pour the juice you have saved over the salad.
I think watercress goes nicely with egg too.........quail if I want to be posh! I love the taste of watercress and happily eat it with any other salad item in place of lettuce. but its soooo expensive and hard to come by! eat it as soon as possible hun. Its a superfood and is so good for you.0
