  • Tbf I didn't use any affordability calculator as mortgage was about x2 my income so knew it wouldn't be an issue. But play around with a few lenders. Are you choosing nationwide for a particular reason? Who was the default with btw because if it was with a lender you are thinking of using for a mortgage you may want to avoid them.

    It was with HSBC but closed at LOWELLS Portfolio .

    I still use HSBC as my main account and never had any problems but I wouldn't try them for a mortgage.
