  • Woah, it's been ages since i posted on here!!

    We've continued to overpay though and are making progress. This year we overpaid to our maximum of 10%, reducing our outstanding debt to £73,600 from £85,400 in March. We regularly over pay £100 a month, and we have squirrelled away lump sums here and there when we realised we were getting nothing for them in a savings account.

    We're due to remortgage in the middle of this year. Hopefully if interest rates are still good to fix then we will be able to continue to overpay yet more each month. :)

    If things continue as they are i don't see why we couldn't get this paid off in ten years. However, we have a plan to look at moving to a bigger house in 5 years time...
