Final mortgage payment before remortgage?

Hi. I was wondering if any of you knowledgable lot could help answer a question, Santander's phone lines seem very busy at the mo.
I pay my mortgage on the 1st of each month. On 1st June I paid Santander as usual.
My remortgage has just completed and it was transferred on 3rd June to HSBC.
My question is, was the 1st of June my final payment to Santander or will they take the equivalent of two days of repayments on the 1st July?
Many thanks.

Your solicitor should paid a full redemption figure to Santander to release the property in order for HSBC to put their mortgage on it.

Depending on when your solicitor requested the redemption statement, the last payment may have been assumed as 1 May. If it was, the redemption figure would have been higher and the payment you made on 1 June will be returned to your bank.
It may be worth asking your solicitor what the assumed last payment date was on the redemption statement.
If the last payment was 1 June, your redemption figure would have been lower and you have pair up correctly.
You'll make no further payments to Santander now. Your mortgage costs to your new lender will be notified to you by them in writing in the next few days.I am a mortgage broker. The Santander mortgage has been fully repaid as of 3rd June, so there'll be no more monthly payments as the Santander mortgage account is closedEarly retired - 18th December 2014
