what do I do?

I need you guys to help me make a decision! What would you do?
I have put on some weight over the past few months and I no longer feel comfortable in my size 10's. For the past 6 months I have the odd size 12 item here and there, as I cannot sit at work all day feeling uncomfortable. I have also put off buying anything as I have been trying (and failing!) to diet back into my smaller clothes!
I decided on payday I would treat myself to a few clothes for work. I work for one of the Big 4 accountancy firms, so have to look presentable, but I have been getting away with it with the odd cheap item brought here and there, and some older clothes that have stretched with age (!) to fit me - I wore a dress I brought in 1998 the other day!
On Friday in the Wallis sale I brought a lovely orange top that is nice and loose and good for work - goes with black or brown trousers and can also be worn with jeans. That was a £10 in the sale (half price).
I also brought a black dress that was £15 (half price again) - again good for work and could be dressed up for the evening.
Brought these home and boyfriend loves them both and they look really nice, but a little voice in the back of my head is saying that's £25 for two items, and I should take them back and make the clothes I have last me a bit longer and diet my way back into the loads of size 10's that i have!
But then they are really good material and would last longer then the cheaper items I have been buying recently.
What to do??!?
PS can I just point out i also brought my mum the same top and a pair of black trousers which was £25 altogether, but I took these back and got a refund today.

I think you should keep the two items that you have bought and try to team them up with as many of the clothes you already have. Also perhaps buy a few cheap accessoires to change the look of the clothes you do have that fit. £25 is not alot of money to spend if you can use the clothes to make a few different outifts.Credit Card Debt

I'm in a similar position as you at the moment. If it was me, I would keep them
I've been battling with my weight for a while and have loads of smaller size clothes that I would like to be able to wear again. It's really upset me seeing them there in my wardrobe, knowing the money I spent on them and the fact they aren't comfy to the point they're unwearable. I've bought a few things for the larger me (but not too many) and they should last until I've lost the weight. In the end I thought having a few things to make me feel comfy was worth the trade in spending a bit of money (but not too much)
The only thing I found worked for me to lose weight was to reduce carb intake - everything else failed...
I would keep them and enjoy them0 -
I think you need to get a bit frisky with me and burn the excess weight off.0

I'm in the same position as I've just had a baby and cannot seem to shift the last pregnancy pounds. I'm resisting buying much at the moment as I WILL get my figure back but I just had to do an emergency shop for a suit as I returned to work. £25 seems reasonable to me as they sound nice clothes and you will get plenty of wear out of them. I'd keep them.Debt at highest May 2006: £27,472.24

I need to do the same as I refuse to buy size 16 clothes! So I'm making do with what I have and mixing and matching as much as possible!
But I'm with the majority winkle, I say keep the clothes! £25 for 2 items, esp. when you always need to be well presented is very good! I suppose the thing is though to make sure this doesn't happen too often and make sure you can get focussed in what you want to do and lose the weight! (Not that you're fat of course! I dream of the day of being a size 12! And as for size 10...well!)Official DFW Nerd Club #20  Proud To Be Dealing With My DebtsDFW Long Hauler #109

Whilst trying to fit (squeeze) into 36" trousers I said to the salesman that I could diet off a few pounds to get them on.
He said, "sir, if you could squeeze off a few pounds, then do it before buying tight clothes"
Deep down, he was right and I do have a 38" waist
(there are large men worried about weight too lol)0 -
Just a suggestion that really worked for me, where all else failed, is The South Beach Diet, it's by Dr A Agatston, and is a good way to spend well, I think its about £7 new. I'm not in any way connected by the way!0

Keep the clothes but perhaps, to make it more bearable for you, have a look through the size 10's and ebay stuff you don't like anymore or haven't worn for ages. Make sure to charge enough for postage.0
