Hello,
Does anyone have a OS recipe for a dry upholstery shampoo at all? I tried to get our sofa cleaned, but found out that it's uncleanable! It's not washable and it's not chemical dry-cleanable either!
Please help - it's a cream sofa (or atleast it was - more a grimey beigey shade, these days! )
I'm prepared to try anythng these days, but just need a point in the right direction! I have tried to wipe it down with a damp cloth, but that didnt work at all!
Thanks,

Our sofa is the same and getting truly manky.
I got so sick of it the other day that I unzipped one cushion and put it in a delicate wash by itself. It came out fine and I hung it on the line - just need to do the rest and find a cure for the dirty arm parts...
Doesn't look like I have ruined anything - mad that I paid extra to have it scotchguarded when new but it didn't seem to make a difference!
Try it on a small part, like a cushion made of the same fabric...0 -
I havent got any cushions! But, it's worth a try I guess ... if the weather cheers up any! Sounds like you have a similar sofa to us - we paid to have it scotchguarded too ... waste of blinking time that was!
I'll give it a go and see what happens! Thanks for letting me know! You're a star!!! :T :beer:I wish I was a glow worm, a glow worm's never glum
