Coach only bay. Ukcps fine

Hi guys, I understand disabled bays are not enforceable if on private land. Does the same apply if your alleged to have parked in a coach only bay, even though the lines aren't clearly marked in yellow, and there is no mention of coach parking bays on any of the signs?
Many thanks

Parking bays on private land have no legal standing and are advisory only, and that means all of them. They are just pretty patterns on tarmac. If this is England or Wales you could challenge this then go to popla the independent appeals if rejected with our help.
If you wait until the notice to keeper which should be with you by day 56 on a fake ticket on you car, or 14 days if by ANPR cameras. A soft appeal like below will tie them into you.
Name
Address
Date
Dear Scammers,
In regards to the invoice received with ref number xxxxxx dated xxxxxx, the keeper denies all liability to your company, if you reject this challenge the keeper requires within 35 days a popla verification code for them to appeal independently, per Version 2 of the BPA Code of Practice.
The keeper has nothing further to add, and will not respond to any correspondence from your company unless it contains the popla code. If you wish to find out why the keeper rejects all liability, pay the £27 plus vat to popla to find out
The challenge will be deemed accepted if there is no popla code on any rejection that you supply within the timeframe stipulated above.
Yours Faithfully

1 - It's not a fine, just a mere invoice for "breaching" a contract.
2 - If it's a free car-park, the landowner has suffered no loss, if it's a P&D car-park and you paid but parked in the wrong place, the landowner has suffered no loss (I've seen car-parks with bus-bays, which are down a road where buses can't even get down).
You can either ignore it completely or do a soft-appeal to get a POPLA code before hitting POPLA with a proper appeal to cost the scammers money.0 -
Hi,
Yes it was a free car park.
In your opinions, would this have any chance then of see reaching court?
Thanks0 -
The chance of it reaching court is about 0.0001%
The chance of UKCPS (whom tried to give me a ticket for leaving a site yesterday when my car was miles away after I cut across a retail park car-park 'managed' and got spotted leaving by the attendant whom said "if you leave I will have to give you a ticket", whom I had fun with saying "my car is a bright yellow fabia, you can't miss it") successfully taking you to court and winning is less than that, its as close to zero as you could get.0 -
Ok thanks very much,
I'll wait for the notice to come through, and send the above letter,0 -
It won't reach court IMO as you will win at popla, this is binding on parking companies and they must drop the fake ticket if they lose. If they win the popla decision is not binding on you. Their only recourse then would be court.
They do go there on occasion but you can get a lot of help and a defence on pepipoo.com. But it's highly unlikely to go that far. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

It almost certainly cannot go to court if cancelled at POPLA (second stage appeal). So just follow our advice and let us know when you get the rejection letter and whether UKCPS have broken the habit of a lifetime and offered a POPLA code. You must word the POPLA stage appeal strongly having read threads & links to help you at that time.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
