free postage?

Dont know if this is right ot not. but is it possible to use letters that are already franked with postage, to send to an address other than the address already printed on the envelope. such as letters from the bank that include franked envelopes to send them cheques etc. i've got loads.

cheers

Its possible....... But illegal. Thats if they are "franked" as you say. However if they are "post paid" then they can only go to the address registered with that number.

If you have a prepaid envelope for x dept of y bank and you instead send it to z dept of y bank then this is ok ish. But using a business reply envelope from y bank to send something to A company is a no no because the billing for it goes a y bank rather than A company.

And it is also technically illegal too

HOWEVER there is nothing to stop you using the envelope for something else, providing you stick a piece of blank paper over the printed address and business reply number and then put a stamp on it.

Be careful if you do try. Some pre paid envelopes have barcode type markings on them. I believe these are scanned by the mail company and the envelope gets to right address regardless of if you have changed the written address!

Prepaid return envelopes will only get to the destination intended. As the license number is allocated to an account and charged accordingly.
Items are surcharged if addresses changed etc.
