Ok this is a bit fiddly and you may need a large freezer if you followed it to the letter.

It means buying in Bulk or combining the deals to get to a minimum spend requirement.

Using this idea it should be possible to get for example:

800g Hovis bread at 72p a loaf

2 Litres of milk 72p

6 eggs 53p

etc.

Basically every now and again we get a junk leaflet dropped through the door by the postie for Farmfoods (I assume a large proportion of the country will get similar). Usually bin it but got on the other day and took time to look at it.

It shows their offers on frozen things and other products such as the ones mentioned below:

Hovis bread 2 loafs for £1.60.
2 x Mothers Pride 12 white roles for £1.60
6 Eggs 59p
2 x 2L milk £1.60
Prices tuner chunks in brine 4 packs x3 £10
Princes corned beef tine 3 for £50.
2 x 24 cans of Cocacola £12
etc

Ok so your saying that does not match the prices i quoted at the start of the post....Told you this was going to be fiddly.....
With the leaflet comes 4 £2.50 off £25 spend, 6 £5 off £50 spend, 2 £10 off £100 and 2 £20 off £200 spend vouchers even though i reckon if you spent £200 at farmfoods you would own the company.

Use these vouchers to as close to the minimum spend as possible, effectively 10% off.

Unless you have a really, really big family you would need to freeze a lot of these items. for example if you got 32 loaves of Hovis bread it would cost £25.60, take off the £2.50 voucher costs £23.10 meaning each loaf then costs 72.1875p (rounded to 72p for this post).

I know a bit fiddly and I am assuming a lot of you get these sent through the post but chances are you will need to freeze or work out which combination of their offers is best to take you over the min spend.

Hope this helps someone.

Wonder if I could get through 258 eggs by the use by? (43 x 6 packs) :)

2ls and 24 can/bottle cases of Coke, Pepsi, Irn Bru etc are all v v cheap in Farmfoods too, negating the need to have a big freezer. We spend £50 every week to get our fiver off. Farmfoods frozen veg is the best as far as I'm concerned. Good too for cold meat, cheese butter etc and the kids love the huge pizzas. No food snobbery round here ;)

We just had a Farmfoods open and so far I love it, really good value and nice quality. Been doing a once a month shop to stock up.

Good find with the vouchers online Lionhead, we too get them from postie but worried incase they stopped!

Not just frozen items though as eklynne says, the loo rolls and kitchen paper good value too.

Alternatively you can save £10.50 by only spending the £12 on the stuff you originally wanted instead of bumping your purchase up. Spending an extra £10.50 to save £1.2o can be silly.

Or you pick products that last/you use a lot of anyway ok it limited at Farmfoods on how to do that but i do that every month with Aldis £5 off £40 Mirror vouchers, bulk up the spend with the things that last a long time or use a lot of i.e tins, bathroom products etc.

That maths doesn't work, You spend £25 to save £2.50 not £1.20 and obviously you don't buy unnecessary rubbish you won't eat or use, you plan your shop for when you need & can accommodate the items.

As my mum always said, a bargain's only a bargain if it's something you need and will use.

Anyway there's already a very good Farm foods thread here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4503943 with lots of updates on the latest/best bargains and how you can get your discount even if you've forgotten your voucher when you visit. :)
A waist is a terrible thing to mind.
