Tax repayment - HELP!!

in Cutting tax
Here goes... I was a student until June 2006 and worked a couple of shifts which I was taxed for then I went travelling for a few months then came back and claimed jobseekers allowance for approx 3 months then started work and earnt about £6000 till end of 2006/7 tax year. SO for the whole tax year I paid about £950 in tax. I thought I'd be entitled to tax rebate now 2006/7 tax year is over as I have in the past but on the P50 form it says you can't claim a repayment if you are on jobseekers. Well I'm not now I'm working but I WAS for a few months. What happens? Am I entitled to repayment and if so what form do I fill in? I have a P60 for my current job.

Hi,
P50 is for an in-year refund, the R40 is the correct form to use.
