The bust bit of the VOH dress is boned, I had the same problem and ended up having to get a bigger size to fit my waist and found the bust bit a little large, but with the boning it still looks fine. I think I bought my dress when they had a free shipping weekend which helped me with deciding what suited me etc with only the potential return costs. The wedding with lace dress that I got seemed good quality to me.

I went ahead and ordered 2 dresses for sizing purposes. The smaller one fitted perfectly around the waist, but was awful on the bust, I'm only a 32B, so it was gaping, and because it's boned, I felt it stuck out really unnaturally, and just emphasised my lack of chest! :rotfl:

My Mam knows a seamstress, but she hasn't phoned her back yet, so possibly she's gone away or something? So, I've just ordered another dress off eBay, which will hopefully fit ok, it's a 10 and I'm between a 10 and a 12. If it does, I'll just send the VOH dresses back. Which is a shame, as they are lovely.

I have tried on dresses in the shop once (years ago) and I was a Size 12 at the time but ended up needing something ridiculous like an 18 or 20...it was horrible! But from what others have said that doesn't seem to be a common problem...

Yeah, I'm sure one of the dresses I got was a 18 and the other a 16 (I'm a 10-12) and they were both ok round the waist, but way too big on the bust, but funnily enough, the 18 seemed to be a better fit?! People say it doesn't matter because they are boned, but to me that just made it worse and emphasised the lack of boobies! :rotfl:

Anyhow, I got another dress today which I feel far more comfortable in, so the VOH dresses are going back.
