Mini DV Tape Bargains at Asda

On Monday night, I bought blister packs of 5 TDK Mini DV video tapes for just £6.88 each.

The usual highstreet price for these is around the £20 mark (argos for instance). Ebay typical price is around £10.00 (plus postage).

The display has no price on it, so I checked at customer services and went back and cleared the shelf of the last 3 packs. That's 15 tapes for less than the cost of 5 at typical high street prices. Bargain.

This was a the Great Yarmouth store, but is probably at others.

cheers, i may give this a go tonite. My dad usually gets me Sony ones for £1.70 a go but these are cheaper and the camcorder seems happy with the TDK ones

If you miss out on Asda deal, Makro have these on BOGOF: 2 x 5 Packs of TDK tapes for £12.99 +vat (£15.26) £1.56 per tape.

Just tried Asda Wakefield - No price on the 5 packs as you say, so got a pack scanned.

Came up £14.97

It's the blister like packs that are impossible to open up. They also had shrinkwrapped 5 in a pile that were £17, exactly the same tapes.

They also have the 3 pack reduced to £4.88

Will try another local Asda tomorro - The 5 packs they had in Wakefield were the shrinkwrapped, didn't see any blister packs.

They are hanging up, with the tapes at an angle.

Obviously this isn't them but they are in packaging not disimilar to this
